What is FITCAMP Recruits?
FITCAMP Recruits is a Caribbean-based athlete recruiting and sports tour platform that helps athletes connect with colleges, coaches, and opportunities abroad—especially in the U.S.
Who is FITCAMP Recruits for?
We work with student-athletes in track & field, basketball, and soccer, as well as their parents/guardians or coach.
Do I need to be a star athlete to get help?
No. We work with athletes who are committed, coachable, and willing to improve. Talent matters, but guidance and timing matter just as much.
What is the college recruiting process?
It’s the process where colleges evaluate athletes based on performance, academics, and character to see if they’re a good fit for their program.
When should an athlete start recruiting?
Ideally by mid high school, but many Caribbean athletes start later. We help athletes at different stages understand their options.
How long does the recruiting process take?
On average, about 12–18 months, though every athlete’s journey is different.
Can I get recruited after high school or 6th form?
Yes, but options may be more limited. Starting earlier usually opens more doors.
Are athletic scholarships guaranteed?
No. Scholarships are competitive and depend on performance, academics, and available funding.
Are scholarships always full scholarships?
Most scholarships are partial and combined with academic or financial aid.
How much does FITCAMP Recruits cost?
Athletes can get started for $120 XCD per year, which covers their profile, evaluation, and exposure to coaches. Additional costs apply only after a coach shows interest.
Why do you offer a pay-as-you-go approach?
We understand that not every family can pay everything upfront. This model allows athletes to start without financial pressure.
What is an athlete showcase?
A showcase is an opportunity for athletes to be evaluated and seen by coaches in a structured setting.
Do I have to attend a showcase to get recruited?
Not always, but showcases can help increase exposure, especially for athletes who are under the radar.
Which showcases should I attend?
That depends on your sport, level, and goals. We help guide athletes to the right opportunities.
How do coaches contact athletes?
Coaches communicate through the platform, email, and scheduled calls—without sharing personal phone numbers unless necessary.
Can parents be involved in communication?
Yes. Parents are encouraged to be part of the process, especially for younger athletes.
Do you help with student visas?
Yes. We assist Caribbean-born athletes with U.S. student visa preparation.
Do you help with FAFSA?
Yes. We guide U.S.-born Caribbean athletes through the FAFSA process.
How do I get started?
Start by completing the form on the website or contacting us directly.
What happens after I sign up?
We review your information, evaluate your profile, and guide you through the next steps based on your goals.
What if I’m not sure which sport or path is right for me?
That’s okay. Reach out—we’ll help you figure it out.
What are FITCAMP Sports Tours?
They are organized trips for athletes and supporters to attend or compete in major sporting events, starting with the 2026 CARIFTA Games.
What does the CARIFTA tour include?
The tour includes accommodation, ground transportation, event access, and on-the-ground support. Full details are shared through the sign-up form.
Will there be other tours?
Yes. Personal and group tours for other events will be added over time.
